Pressure die casting and hot forming
Only a limited number of special steels are able to cover these requirements. The special properties of BÖHLER hot work tool steels in combination with our cross-rolling technology – this means additional advantages such as isotropic characteristics in longitudinal and transversal directions – are specifically trimmed to their use at high temperatures.
Typical applications for our hot work tool steels are

- injection moulds
- hot forming tools
- shear blades for hot applications.

- E-W360: Tool steel for dies and punches in warm and hot forging. With a hardness range from 52 to a maxmum of 57 HRc combined with a good toughness, this steel can be used for a variety of applications where hardness and toughness are required.
